Reward punch cards are a great tool to use to motivate your kids. Plus, with multiple seasonal and fun designs, there will be some great punch card designs for each kid in your family.
What is a Reward Punch Card?
Many kids do well with some sort of motivation, especially if the task they need to do is repetitive. Sometimes doing chores each day or practicing an instrument can be boring. But if they know there’s a small reward for completing a certain number of repetitions, then they are more likely to do it!
So figure out the task that needs a reward punch card.
Use them for:

How do you use a Reward Punch Card?
Next, print your child’s favorite page of reward cards and cut them out. Give one card to your child with instructions to hole punch or cross off one circle for every completed repetition. You can also use these cards to keep track of days that a skill is practiced.
When your child has completed his card, he can turn it in to you for a predetermined prize – movie night, donut date, or extra time on Minecraft?
You could also use these as daily homeschool task cards – list out 7 daily assignments or subjects and complete a day of school when all your holes are punched.
Rewarding Your Kids for Completed Tasks
Your reward doesn’t have to be huge. You could have a small treasure chest in the house for younger kids, while older kids might prefer a fun treat or snack. Or, try some of these reward ideas:
- family movie night
- pizza for dinner
- game night
- stay up late
- new book
- field trip
I use these reward punch cards with my piano students and they are super motivating for some kids! Each day they practice at home, they punch one circle. Then, when they have a completed card (10 circles on these particular practice punch cards), they get to choose a treat from my studio prize box.
