Tips for homeschooling an only child
- You don’t have to teach everything on your own
- Outsource some of the teaching
- Join small groups for sports, activities, co-op work
- Get plugged in to your community
- Learn life skills & volunteer
- Let your kids explore their passions & interests
- You can give your kids a well-rounded education
- “Socialization” in a classroom is not really socialization
- Homeschooled kids can truly socialize in their neighborhood and community
- Look into community service options
- Hang in there! It can be hard, but you can do it!
